Google Pixel 2 is positioned as a flagship phone, so we expect that it will be packed with capacities, and now we get some evidence.
Included in the list on the Geekbench and found by PocketNow, the reference benchmark indicator marks "Google Taimen" - widely appearing in rumors, as the code name of one of the Google Pixel 2. The smartphone demonstrates 4 GB of RAM and the 8-core Qualcomm chipset with a clock speed of 1.9 GHz.
And the speech will almost certainly go about the new Snapdragon 835, as at the clock speeds of 1.9 GHz the four slowest cores of the 835 work. And Snapdragon 835 rumors are often tied to Pixel 2.
Google Pixel 2 Features
Gather the characteristics together and you will see a promising competitor Samsung Galaxy S8 and Sony Xperia XZ Premium, at least on paper.
Its multi-core evaluation on 6248 scores suggests that the smartphone will be very powerful in practice, so the new Google smartphone is not far from the Galaxy S8, which scored 6630 points on our tests. This is also a preliminary hardware test, so Pixel 2 can score and more in the release.
Although, of course, by the time Google Pixel 2 comes out in October, the specifications may not seem so advanced.
Google Pixel 2: Software
There is a lot of speculation when it comes to software, because we do not know anything concrete yet. It would be wise to expect a more advanced Google Assistant, and most likely it will be equipped with Android O.
Will the Pixel 2 be waterproof?
After we saw the first renderings of Pixel 2 in Indian Express, now we have high hopes for the assembly of the smartphone. Reporter Stephen Hall allegedly discovered at last year's Pixel event that Pixel 2 would be waterproof.
This will allow Google to correct the past mistake. Pixel did not quite resist the iPhone 7, which is waterproof, like the Galaxy S7. Both of these latter devices are important competitors and quite often set the bar in terms of what high-end smartphones should offer. Pixel, the first generation of this kind, was therefore floundering behind its flagship competitors.
The only thing that reflects the benchmark test is, as expected, that Pixel 2 runs on Android O, but what should I pay attention to is the call sign "Taimen", which, according to rumors, indicates a phablete (perhaps Pixel 2 XXL), Which can go into release along with the usual Pixel 2 (it is believed to be code-named "Walleye") and Pixel 2 XL (presumably called "Muskie").
Thus, the mention of the timer is here another proof that the third smartphone is in operation. We would assume that all three smartphones will work on similar hardware, however, the main differences will be the size of the screens and batteries, but we do not have input for this yet.
